Pranate is the trade name of the drug tranylcypromine, this is considered as the most powerful drug which is used in the treatment of major depressive disorder. Pranate is used to treat people who have not been helped or seen results with any other depression medications. Parnate generally belongs to the classes of substituted phenethylamine and amphetamine. Parnate is also called as tranylcypromine or as jatrosom. Parnate acts as a monoamine oxidize inhibitor. Parnate is a non – selective and it is considered as an irreversible inhibitor of enzyme monoamine oxidizes.
