Paroxetine CR is one of the antidepressants that is recommended in dosages of between 20 mg and 60 mg for several medical conditions and is a prescription only medication. This antidepressant is prescribed for people with depression disorders like clinical depression, anxiety disorders, panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder and other disorders. The dosage amount might be adjusted once it has started being taken if it does not decrease the symptoms enough in the patient, where a higher dosage might have better results.
Paroxetine CR has shown in clinical studies to be an effective treatment of depression and other disorders. There was also proof that when being prescribed to patients that have liver or kidney disease, along with elderly patients it needs to be prescribed in lower dosages.
Paroxetine CR is not prescribed along with other antidepressants to combat depression symptoms as it is a medication that can cause drug interactions when prescribed with MAOIs for the treatment of depression, anxiety, panic disorders or obsessive compulsive disorders.
Once this antidepressant is prescribed for depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder or panic disorder it can take up to four weeks to work fully, but after one week some improvement of the symptoms will begin to decrease.
