What is the difference between organic and external causes of depression?

As most all individuals know, depression is a frustrating condition that can be caused by an almost endless number of different factors. There are some of these factors that are considered to be organic causes, and then there are several of the factors that are considered to be external causes. External causes that may be the cause for the depression symptoms that a person is suffering from would include things such as the specific type of environment that a person may be in, a particular season of the year, or it can be some type of major life event that has occurred in the individual’s life.

Then, there are also organic causes for depression, or those that are caused by some type of physical deficiency or physical problem. Many individuals suffer with problems of depression because they are neglecting to give the body an adequate amount of vitamins and minerals needed to function properly. When people do not eat well-balanced meals, the body’s system does not get necessary vitamins and minerals needed for natural processes that occur in the body. Often times, the problems that occur can have a drastic impact on the person’s mood and cause symptoms of depression.
