Parnate generally belongs to the classes of substituted phenethylamine and amphetamine. Parnate is also called as tranylcypromine or as jatrosom. Parnate acts as a monoamine oxidize inhibitor. Parnate is a non – selective and it is considered as an irreversible inhibitor of enzyme monoamine oxidizes.
Parnate as an antidepressant is mainly used for the treatment of major depressive disorder. And also as the main drug to resolve or change the patient mood and anxiety disorders.
Every drug shows some side effects even parnate also shows some side effects. They are drowsiness, weakness, diarrhea, blurred vision, dry mouth, loss of appetite, stomach pain, constipation, chills, ringing in the ears, rash, hair loss, muscle tightening, uncontrolled shaking of any of the body parts, person having difficulty in urination, person showing decreased sexual ability, tingling in the arms, numbness, burning.
There are some side effects which cause major problems that are yellowing of eyes, flu like symptoms, unusual bleeding, sensitivity to light, sweating, nausea, chest pain, widened pupils, slow fast or pounding heartbeat, cold, clammy skin, fever, and dizziness.
