How to Take Paxil CR

Paxil CR dosage depends on various factors, such as age, medical conditions that require the drug; any other associated medical conditions and other medications being taken.  However, the best doses are prescribed by a doctor in this case, and it is important to follow the instructions.

Usually, for treating depression, 25 mg of the drug can be given once daily. If required, your doctor might increase the dosage depending on the symptoms of the condition. The maximum dosage of Paxil CR can be 62.5 mg.

For panic disorder, the dosage of Paxil CR starts from 12.5 mg daily, and can go up to 75 mg. With the condition of the symptoms, the dosage will be increased or contributed. However, it cannot go over 75 mg.

In case of social anxiety disorder treatment, the recommended dosage of Paxil CR remains 12.5 mg regularly. The dosage can be increased if the symptoms persist. In such cases, the condition of social anxiety disorder can be treated with higher doses of Paxil CR, which is 37.5 mg.

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder there are 2 different doses of Paxil CR. In one case, the medicine can be taken during the menstrual cycle on a regular basis, or it can be taken during the last 2 weeks of the cycle, just before your periods. The recommended dosage will be 12.5 mg and 25 mg every day.
